About the event
Earn your AAUS Scientific Diver Certification with Deepwater Conservation Initiative! The AAUS Scientific Diver Certification is the required certification for most marine science programs.
Over the two-week course you will learn the fundamentals of scientific diving including dive physics, rescue, planning, and foundational survey and data collection techniques. Divers will complete twelve open water dives and 100 hours of classroom instruction.
Prerequisite is an Open Water Scuba Certification from a nationally recognized agency. Divers do need to complete a confined and open water skills test prior to participating in the course. Advanced open water and/or a peak performance buoyancy certification is highly recommended.
